Dr. Scott Ferreira is a licensed Chiropractor and Chiropractic Acupuncturist serving the Eliot community since 1999.
Dr. Scott Ferreira has been helping the Seacoast Commutnity regain optimal health in his Wellness Clinic in Eliot, ME. As a Chiropractor with 18 years of experience, Dr. Scott is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of patients.
Dr. Scott uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Scott is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
Originally from Swansea, MA, Dr. Scott studied at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where he majored in pharmacy. He then entered Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, OR where he graduated in 1998 with a doctorate in Chiropractic.
Dr. Scott also completed his post graduate work in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in 2001 through the Acupunture Society of America. He is continuing his study in Chinese herbs and homeopathy, and has recieved his diplomat as a fellow in Acupuncture, through the American Chiropractic Association. In 2007, Dr. Scott became certified in the Neuro Emotional Technique which allows for treatment of the mind body connection. Dr. Scott believes in a wellness model of care by combining herbs, chiropractic, and acupuncture to help his patients reach their optimal health goals and finding homeostasis between body, mind, and spirit.
Originally form Swansea, MA, Dr. Jody studied at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she majored in exercise physiology. With Dr. Scott, she moved to Oregon and graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College.
She received her master's degree in holistic nutrition in 2004 from Clayton College of Natural Health. She has been coaching clients in the health field since 1999. She specializes in Nutrition Response Testing (SM) where she helps to find the underlying sensitivity to a problem.
Dr. Jody is an ACE certified personal fitness trainer, offering one-on-one personal training along with boot camps classes indoor and out at naturalfitnesssolutions.net
Dr. Scott and Dr. Jody have been together since their freshman year in high school. They married in 1997 and have four children. Dr. Jody is currently a part-time stay-at-home mom who enjoys homeschooling her three boys and little girl.
